Many moons back, my wife stumbled across this old teacher’s desk and fell in love with it. It was in horrible condition – scratches, dents, a burn mark on the desktop, and the drawers were all so badly stuck, we weren’t sure we’d ever get them opened.
The original student desk. (I already started sanding the top to get through the finish)
After some elbow grease with sanding and scraping, some tightening of joints, primer, paint and some wax on the drawer runners, we ended up with this final product. Enough space to be a student desk, an adult desk or even a crafting space, this desk features the file and storage drawers down the right side of the knee-hole, a great center drawer, and a bonus pull-out for additional workspace.
