Mahogany Desk

A common theme for us is restoring pieces with great sentimental value for customers.  This mahogany desk belonged to our customer’s husband.  After he passed, she kept it, but wanted it restored.  Having been used for many years, there was minor scuffing and scratching along the sides and top, and a few sticky drawers.

As we made minor repairs and removed years of furniture polish, we discovered places where their children had pressed hard enough with their pencils to leave indentations of homework assignments.

A little sanding followed with some mahogany stain and three coats of satin Urethane later, we added new hardware and returned a much loved piece to the family’s home office space for many more years of use.
